Wendell Wallace Claims Stellar Fourth Place Effort in Batesville’s Bad Boy 98

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Wendell Wallace Autosports team made the short trip to the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas over the May 18-19 weekend for the inaugural running of the 'Bad Boy 98.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the unique event, which provided the winner with $10,000 and a new 2012 Chevy Camaro. In preliminary action on Friday night, Wendell Wallace laid down the sixth quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later ran second in his loaded heat race behind prelim winner Steve Francis.

When Saturday evening rolled around, Wendell started from the outside of the fourth row in the 98-lap feature event. During the course of the 'Bad Boy 98,' Wendell kept his #6m BWRC entry in or around the top five for much of the distance before eventually recording a stellar fourth place performance. The Batesville, Arkansas hotshoe trailed only winner Jimmy Owens, Billy Moyer, and Scott Bloomquist. Full results from the huge weekend of racing at BMS can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

Another Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series mega-event awaits the #6m team on May 25-26 in the Show-Me State of Missouri. The 20th Annual ‘DART Show-Me 100’ presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com will take place on Friday and Saturday at the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The 100-lapper on Saturday night, which will be taped for broadcast on CBS, CBS Sports, SPEED, and MAVTV Networks in 2012, will pay $30,000 to the winner. Wendell is a three-time ‘Show-Me 100’ winner (2002, 2006, 2007), with all three triumphs coming at the West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri.
