Mike Jewell takes home $3,000 prize in 2nd Annual Rain Dodger 40 at Richmond Raceway!
RICHMOND, KY (May 26, 2012)-On night number two of a Memorial Day weekend trio of events in Central Kentucky, Mike Jewell of Scottsburg, IN held off Victor Lee of Danville, KY to take home the $3,000 payday in the 2nd Annual Rain Dodger 40 at Richmond Raceway.
Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY took third place with Jason Barrett of Waco, KY in fourth and Chad Stapleton of Edinburgh, IN rounding out the top five.
This was Jewell’s first victory of the 2012 season at Richmond Raceway after his last win at the Madison County facility came on September 3, 2011, holding off Todd Coffman for the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League and STARS Volunteer Racing Series co-sanctioned Stars and Stripes 40. This event also paid $3,000 to win.
Other feature event winners included Delane Browning of East Bernstadt, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, Glen Hounshell, Sr. of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs, and Brian Thornsburg of Carlisle, KY in the Four Cylinders.
