TRI-COUNTY FEELS WRATH OF FLYIN' WELSHAN TAKES 2 VICTORY's
Brasstown, NC (5/28/12) --- Two nights after winning the Memorial Day Salute to Veterans at the Cleveland (TN) Speedway Jason Welshan of Maryville, Tennessee and FLYIN' WELSHAN BRIGADE Hidden Hollow Motorsports team headed to Brasstown, NC and Ray Cook's Tri-County Racetrack. The object to take the TAR-HEEL money and run back across the TN/NC border, before anyone knew what hit em'. A pair of #29 "B&M Concrete, Competition Racing Equipment, Ronald Sexton Construction, Centerline Construction, Bearden Oil, Hicks & Law Insurance, Jon's Golfcarts, Smith's Auto Repair, Schenfeld Headers, Stealth Racing Carburators, Outlaw Graphix" sponsored MasterSbilt / Bill Bunch powered Cindy & Roger Kerr, Gary Rofle owned machines were in the pits and ready to roll for the respective LLM and Crate features. In the Crate LM feature it was smooth sailin for an unfamiliar orange #29 as Welshan went flag to flag taking the $500 victory in his new SPOOKY II machine. The LLM feature was more Welshan's speed as the GREEN MACHINE rolled off from his 4th row starting spot. "We raced side by side with (Bobby) Painter, me on the bottom, him carrying momentum each lap." stated Welshan from his Maryville Shop. Welshan took the lead for good on lap 12 and pocketed the $1,000 payday. The team will be back at Boyd's and Cleveland to open up Summer this coming weekend. The Friday nighter is a NeSmith Late Model race and Welshan is looking forward to battling those guys that follow that series. Welshan leads both tracks 2012 Championship Points and is proven to be the man to beat on race-night.
