Chad Stapleton Records Biggest Career Victory with LCS Triumph

Edinburgh, Indiana (05/31/12) – Chad Stapleton claimed the biggest win of his career on Sunday night in his #32 Rightway Construction/Skeletor Core/Rocket/Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model with a $3,000 triumph at Lake Cumberland Speedway.

Chad opened his busy, Memorial Day weekend on Friday night at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) with a Weekly Racing Series Event in his #32 Total Chaos Motorsports Super Late Model. With fifteen entries in the pit area Stapleton bolted from the fourth starting spot in the second heat race to claim the win, which locked him into the second starting spot for the feature event, alongside Dillan White. On the first lap Chad jumped the cushion in turn one causing him to spin. He would restart on the tail of the field before mounting a great charge back to the front of the field over the remainder of the event. He would cross the finish line in the second spot behind race winner, Duane Chamberlain. Full results are available at www.MolerRacewayPark.com.

Saturday found the team at Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Indiana) for the 2nd Annual Rain Dodger 40, which posted a $3,000 winner's prize. Twenty-nine Super Late Models registered for battle, and Chad began his night by finishing third in the third heat race to lock into the ninth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. During the course of the main event he would advance four spots to finish fifth behind race winner, Mike Jewell, Victor Lee, Todd Coffman, and Jason Barrett. On Sunday evening the team concluded their tripleheader weekend in fine style by claiming the $3,000 prize in the McGowan Excavating 40 at Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Kentucky). Twenty-nine competitors passed through the pit gate for the event, and Chad won the second heat race to earn the outside-front-row starting spot for the 40 lap, main event, alongside pole-sitter, Aaron Ridley. As the race went green Stapleton would bolt to the lead. Despite a late race challenge from Dillan White, Chad would lead all 40 laps to claim the biggest win of his career. He was followed across the finish line by White, Michael Asberry, Chris Combs, and Jeremy Hines. Full results are available at www.LCSpeedway.com.
