metric car 3185lbs. 3/8 mid bank dryslick for feature.

900lf - 10lbs
950rf - 14lbs
250lr - 10lbs
200rr - 14lbs

left - 50%
rear - 49%(max as per rule)
cross - 56%
bite 180

1 1/2" stag

this is a new setup, havent run. im worried about the cross. what the first step getting this down without messing with the whole car? simplest change with most effect. adjusting presures only moves percentage minimally. TIA

i tried a new setup last night..and i loved it, best it has ever been.
1300 rf 15 psi
1100 lf 13 psi
250 lr 12 psi
175 rr 12 psi
left 54%
rear 53% we have no rule for this.
cross 52%
metric car 3275lbs. 3/8 mid to high bank and usually dryslick for feature
This is the first time EVER i could go into the corner set it up and keep it floored all the way thru the turns and it didnt get loose or want to spin out it griped. I was going down on spring rate in the front to about what you say and for me it got worse....when i was running about the same rear % all we did was spin the tires no matter how much weight we put over the rear end. I found out its not how much weight you got....its where you place it on the car...JMO

In dirt track racing you set your bite, you dont look at or reference cross, not sure why your worried about it as you can adjust cross and keep your 180 bite.

Put tape over the cross on your scales and move on.

lol....i read one of your previous posts to disregard cross, thought you might comment. i guess im wondering more what to expect and if i need to adjust where to start. im not a fan either of the heavier front springs. the car had 1000lf and 1100rf, hated it.

our track you can go 4 wide in the corners and straights, but mostly we run 3 wide..i started out with 1000 lf, 1100 rf, switched them did a lil better, then bought a 900 rf..never installed it. took my car to the guys that was winning alot around my area and had them set it up for me. last night was the first time ever i could go in set it up and literally hold it to the floor all the way thru the corner. before i had... about..no joke 300 lbs directly over the rear end and it would get looose as he** from the middle to exit then half way down the straight. but they moved the weight further back and it went from like 48% rear to 53 % rear with the heavier springs up front. before with the softer springs the car rolled to the right in the corner and sometimes picked up the lf tire a lil. now it goes in level and comes out hard. I would of never thought it could do that..i was just amazed...that rule for the rear % really hurts you i think...JMO of my experience, but as you know its all about experimenting with you setup to your driving style....Good luck on your setup.

so i dropped the cross from 56 to 53%. running 12"LR srping and 11" RR spring. car felt pretty good, went through corners well. maybe a litle to much roll. rightside tires gained 2-3 lbs, leftside were cold. was thinking upping the RF to 1000lbs and putting 12" spring in RR(same weight). any opinions? want less roll without any significant changes as car works well.

Tight car. The starting point for any SS should be around 49% At the end of the night, maybe closer to 52%. Some guys don't actually tighten up their cars.
