I was looking at pictures of my car and in a picture from last night the bottom of the torque arm looked curved, i couldn't find any other pictures where it looked like this. Is it normal for them to do that, or can torque arms wear out?? Its about three seasons old , one and a half with me, wehrs two piece aluminum top. 350 spring @36" (430 open motor only in it this season, car has been 360 Wissota the rest of it's life). Thanks!

With an open motor car, torque arm should be replaced every season.

I've always ran a steel one and have had it fail before. When they do fail it will bend every rod end and shock on the rear end as well as snap the radius rods, driveshaft, and yokes.
Its one of those things I replace every season.

If its flexing its generating fatigue. Fatigue eventually allows to cracking. The cracks will probably show up around the weld joints.

Yep one of those parts on the car that gets over looked and can cost you in the end. When you replace the torque arm go ahead and replace the rear end brackets that it mounts to as well. just a better safe than sorry type of deal.

we build are own because of that reason,if they are flexing how much drive are you losing? it shouldnt flex thats the springs job!!!
