Richmond Raceway prepares for DOUBLE HEADER weekend with $1,500 to win Modifieds and Late Models June 9!
RICHMOND, KY (June 4, 2012)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are preparing for a double header of racing action this Saturday, June 9. The weekend warriors of the Open Wheel Modified division will compete for their biggest purse of the season in a $1,500 win showdown.
Along with the Open Wheel Modified Bash, the Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models will also be competing for a $1,500 top prize. A full program of racing is on tap for the Sportsman, Road Hogs, and Four Cylinder divisions as well.
The pit area opens at 4:30 p.m. on June 2 followed by the grandstand area at 6:00 p.m. with hot laps slated for 6:45 p.m. Grandstand admission for this special event is $15 for adults and $3 for kids ages 6 through 12. Pit Admission is $33 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6 through 12. Kids ages 5 and under are admitted FREE to Richmond Raceway.
Richmond Raceway last raced on Saturday, June 2. Feature event winners that night included Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models, Delane Browning of East Burnstadt, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, Glen Hounshell, Sr. of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs, and Derek Thornsburg of Carlisle, KY in the Four Cylinders.
Current track championship point leaders heading into this weekend’s double header include Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models, Delane Browning of East Berstadt, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, Glen Hounshell, Sr. of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs, and Derek Thornsburg of Carlisle, KY in the Four Cylinders.
