CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 11 of the 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season will see 11 races at 11 tracks in five different states with one race on Friday night, and ten races on Saturday night. There is some business from Week 10 competition to follow up on, as Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA officially picked up his 11th win of the season.

After winning the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series event on June 1 at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS, the engine in Trosclair’s J. Dunning Sandblasting and Painting Special was protested by another competitor.

NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Technical Director Tim Sims traveled to Mississippi on Tuesday to perform a complete tear down and inspection of the engine that was impounded after the race on June 1. Sims said the engine was an original GM sealed engine, and found it to be perfectly legal after the complete tear down and inspection.

Penton Raceway in Penton, AL will open NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 11 competition with the lone Friday night show. Drivers will begin to tune up for a pair of 40-lap $2,000-to-win NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division events at Penton Raceway on July 5 and 6.

EAMS will host a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race on July 4, and AMS will host a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race on July 7. If a driver can win all four races, there will be a $1,000 Bonus.
