(Peoria, IL) All systems are go for tonight's “Budweiser UMP Late Model Super Series” race at Peoria Speedway. Brian Shirley has won 2 of the first 3 races, but Billy Drake sits atop the chase for the $5,000 top prize picking up the other win on May 13. Tonight’s' race will pay $2,000 to-win for the UMP Late Models.
Fans will get to see double features for the Speedway Motors Illinois Lightning Sprint Series, with UMP Modifieds, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets joining the Late Models on the program. Legendary announcer Army Armstrong will be on the mike tonight as Jeff Adams is on vacation.
Pit gates open at 3 PM, with grandstands at 4 and hot laps at 5. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for Seniors, $4 for kids 8-15, with under age 7 admitted free of charge. For more information, fans can log onto www.peoriaspeedway.com or access the tracks' Facebook page.
