SRRS Five Town Showdown makes Night # 2 stop at Boyd’s Speedway on Friday June 29th

RINGGOLD, GA (June 23, 2012)—On Friday Night June 29th the Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA will host the second round of the Southern Regional Racing Series-sanctioned ‘Five Town Showdown’ which races five race nights in just six days.
The 40-lap $3,000 to win event will be the headliner of the night for the SRRS Super Late Models At Boyd’s Speedway on Friday June 29th the Crate Late Models, A & B Hobby and Front Wheel Drive classes will also be in attendance racing for Double Points.
On Friday June 29th the gates will swing open at 4:00 pm with Driver’s Meeting slated for around 6:45 pm and Hot Laps at 7:00 pm. Adult General Admission is $15.00 with Children 7-12 $5.00 and six and under admitted free and Pit Passes are $30.00.
Previous Super Late Model winners this season at Boyd’s Speedway include Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN on January 28th during the Cabin Fever race, Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, GA on April 6th taking home $3,000 during the SRRS-sanctioned race and May 4th when Riley Hickman of Chattanooga, TN collected $3,000 during the SRRS event.
The Five Town Showdown will compete at five race tracks over the course of six nights starting Thursday Night June 28th at the Duck River Speedway in Wheel, TN ($3,000 to win); then Friday Night June 29th at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA ($3,000 to win); then Saturday Night June 30th at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN ($3,000 to win); then Monday Night July 2 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN ($3,000 to win) and the finale on Tuesday Night July 3 at Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN ($4,000 to win).
The Showdown drivers will be competing for a points fund as follows: 1) $2000, 2) $1250, 3) $800, 4) $650, 5) $500 and drivers must compete in all five events to be eligible for the points monies.
