ULTIMATE Supers and FASTRAK Racing Series’ Announce Schedule Amendments
Carnesville, Georgia – The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and FASTRAK Racing Series announced today some tweaks to the 2012 schedule. “In keeping with our philosophy of looking to bring the most fans and drivers to our family of tracks, we made some schedule changes which we believe will help us do that. Mother Nature’s interference and some other late released schedules have crowded a few of the events we had scheduled. And as we have done in the past, we took another look at the current schedules around the region and made some changes to our own schedule which will allow our events to reach their maximum success. Our tracks have been very supportive in there changes and I really believe that they appreciate our effort to give them the best possible chance for a successful and lucrative event.” said FASTRAK and ULTIMATE Series Director Kelley Carlton.
On the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series side the schedule changes begin with the Saturday, June 30th that was planned for 311 Speedway in Madison, North Carolina. That event has been rescheduled to Saturday, August 25th. Also the July 14th event scheduled at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee has been changed to a make-up date for a FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division event that was rained out earlier in the year. The ULTIMATE date at Volunteer will be announced at a later date as both Track and Series Officials search for a more suitable date. The Friday July 6th date scheduled for Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina has been removed and finally the August 25th date scheduled at Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia will be moved to Saturday, August 18th. The Series also plans the addition of 3 dates to be announced in the next month.
The FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division will now appear at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Saturday, July 14th for a $2000 to win event. Also the $2000 to win Saturday, July 14th date originally scheduled for Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia has been moved to Saturday, July 28th. The FASTRAK Series is also very close to announcing the facility which will host the televised 2012 FASTRAK World Championship and the FASTRAK Weekly World Challenge events. “We hate to make changes to our schedule mid-season but in today’s economy we have to do all we can to ensure that we are promoting successful events. We certainly won’t be making a habit of putting out a schedule and changing it frequently but we will make adjustments and changes as it benefits our tracks, racers and fans. As I said earlier in the year we don’t want to put anyone in the position to choose which event in their area that they will go to. That just hurts everyone involved. I want to thank all of our drivers and fans for understanding these changes.
