CARTERSVILLE, GA – Week 13 of the 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season saw eight of the Top 10 drivers post either a first, second, or third-place finish, showing why they are at the top of the points list. Five of the Top 10 drivers, including the top three, visited the winners circle in Week 13 competition.

Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA remains the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point leader after turning in his 14th and 15th wins of the season during Week 13 action. Trosclair drove the J. Dunning Sandblasting and Painting Special to a 50-point victory on Friday night at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS to keep his 13-week winning streak alive.

Trosclair followed that up with a 40-point win on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS. Trosclair has accumulated 707 points, and has one more week to race for full points before hitting the 14-week mark, after which he will begin to net points by trying to replace his lowest 14-week point total with a higher one.

Brent Barrett of Cleveland, TN drove the Custom Spraying GRT to his first NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS. Barrett is second in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS standings with 666 points, 41 points behind Trosclair. Barrett has two more weeks to earn full points.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS took his fourth NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway driving the Billy Riels Racing Trak-Star. Lee has 655 points, 52 points behind Trosclair. Lee also has two more weeks to earn full points, and can still earn another 25 Bonus Points.

Bobby Jordan of McCarley, MS finished second to Barrett on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in the Henderson Waste and Recycling Trak-Star to hold down the fourth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 640 points. Jordan still has two more weeks to earn full points.

Chase Washington of Houlka, MS finished second to Lee on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in the Jerry Inmon Racing Special to remain fifth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 632 points. Washington can still earn full points for another three weeks.

Ryan King of Seymour, TN opened Week 13 competition on June 19 with his third win of the season at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN driving the Brian King Roofing Stinger. King is sixth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 619 points and can still full points for another three weeks.

Scott Ladner of Lumberton, MS finished seventh on Friday night at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park and is seventh in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 612 points driving the Billy Riels Racing GRT. Ladner can earn full points for two more weeks, and can still earn another 25 Bonus Points.

Daniel Bridgeman of Meridian, MS finished third on Saturday night behind Lee and Washington at Jackson Motor Speedway driving the Robinson Electric Rocket, and is eighth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 598 points. Bridgeman can earn full points for another three weeks.

Bubba Harrison of Cleveland, MS finished outside the top ten on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in the Robinson Electric GRT, but hangs on to the ninth spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series standings with 550 points. Harrison can earn full points for three more weeks, and can still earn another 50 Bonus Points.

Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL moved back into the Top 10 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series points chase with his fifth win of the season on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS driving the Summit Resource Development Trak-Star. Shaw is tenth in the standings with 546 points, and can still earn full points for another five weeks.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Week 13 action, Chad Wallace of LaGrange, GA drove the Wallace Construction GRT to his second win of the season on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL. Chris Ragan of Ramer, TN drove the Ragan Racing Trak-Star to his second win of the season on Saturday night at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN.

Adam Gauldin of Talladega, AL picked up his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL driving the Adam Gauldin Racing GRT. There were also four other drivers joining Barrett by winning their first NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series victories of the season in Week 13 competition.

Cory Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) of Loudon, TN took his first NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series win of the season on Saturday night at 411 Motor Speedway in the Eagle Racing Engines Rocket. Jerry Buck of Paragould, AR drove the Buck’s Auto Care GRT to his first win of the season on Saturday night at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, MO

Kelly Walker of Moultrie, GA was a first-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series winner on Saturday night at Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA driving the Windy Pond Farms Special. Thomas Lewis of Hamilton, GA drove the Green’s Propane Gas Special to his first win of the season on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL.

In the 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge, Week 13 victories by Lee, Shaw and Ragan brought the leading win total of two-time champion Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL to 19 on the season.

Defending and four-time NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Champion GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR is second with 15 wins after Week 13 victories from Barrett, Wallace, Buck and Gauldin.

Stinger Race Cars built by J.T. Racing Equipment of Rockford, TN takes over sole possession of the third spot after their fourth win of the season from King. Rocket Chassis of Shinnston, WV used a win by Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) to move into a tie for the fourth spot with Warrior Race Cars built by Goddard Performance of Knoxville, TN with three wins apiece. TNT Race Cars of Piney Flats, TN is still looking for their first win of the season.
