I called to try to order a dipstick for a pan and they told me they dont make them. The person i talked to sounded like he was out of school for the summer.
Anyone have a clue how to tell when these things are at the right oil level? He told me to leave the plug out on the LH side and start pouring quarts in. When it gets close to 10 it should start running out.
Seems like a crude way of checking oil level and not very accurate condsidering what motors go for.

I had a "claimer champ pan" type deal that was same way. Mine was a 7qt pan pulled a plug on left side when oil was at top was full. Always took 7qt to fill it. I run oil bout 4-5 races before changing so no dipstick kinda sucks.

Almost all of the pans have a plug on top top side of kick out and when it is even with the hole its full.Havnt seen a dipstick for alot of years..Would be easy to make a dipstick just for checking with plug out..
