View Full Version : $3,000 to win LLM at Tazewell Speedway on July 3rd

The Tazewell (limited) late models will have a crack at some big bucks on Tuesday, July 3. The limited late models will be racing in a $3,000 to win race, one of the largest purses for limited late models in the area. The race also pays $300 just to start.

Tazewell Speedway regulars Travis Fultz, Jason Trammell, and Steve Smith will take on Josh Collins. Brad Lowe, Jason Cardwell, and others. Rules are as follows:

Tazewell Speedway rules, must weigh 2,300 lbs.
Dry Sump system allowed
411 type rules, must weigh 2,400 lbs.
25 lbs. for titanium valves
50 lbs. for roller cams
50 lbs. for big bore short stroke
Open tire rule
$100 entry fee

The modified street division will be racing in a $700 to win "run whatcha brung" race. Base rules are as follows: Must weight 3,000 lbs., must be a full stock frame, open tire rule.

Also in action will be the pure streets and classics for $300 to win.

In addition to the racing action, there will be fireworks.

Tickets are $15 for adults, children 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $30. Pit gates open at 3:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. Racing will begin at 7:45.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
