Curtis Roberts Claims Pair of Top Ten Finishes; MDC Events Up Next

Coleman, Michigan (06/28/12) –Curtis Roberts took his #9r Sean Nagy Racing/Roberts Auto Enterprise/Mastersbilt/Cornett Super Late Model into battle in three separate events over the course of the weekend.

The first event on tap was the Michigan Dirt Cup, which was held at Hartford Motor Speedway (Hartford, Michigan) on Friday night. Thirty-one competitors entered the $1,500-to-win event, and Curtis qualified for the feature via preliminary action. He was on the move in the feature, and up to the second spot, when bad luck struck in the form of a flat, right-rear tire, which brought his night to a disappointing early end in the seventeenth position. Full results are available at www.HartfordMotorSpeedway.net .

On Saturday night the $4,800-to-win, Barney Oldfield Race was held at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio). Thirty-six competitors filled the pit area, and after winning his heat race Curtis earned the sixth starting spot for the main event on the 3/8 mile oval. During the course of the feature he advanced three spots to record a third place finish behind race winner, Matt Miller, and Brian Ruhlman. Full results from the event are available at www.OakshadeRaceway.com .

He concluded his weekend on Sunday evening at I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, Michigan) with a $5,000-to-win, UMP DIRTCar Summernationals event. Thirty-six competitors entered the event, and for much of the night they would all have to battle rough track conditions. After qualifying fourth fastest in his group in time trials he started fourth in the first heat race before advancing to a second place finish, which locked him into the fifth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. Early in the main event he battled in the top five before slipping to a still solid eighth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results from the event are available at www.TheHellTour.com .

This weekend, June 29th-30th, the team will return to action in a pair of Michigan Dirt Cup (MDC) Late Model events as the tour rolls into Winston Speedway (Rothbury, Michigan) on Friday night before invading I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, Michigan) on Saturday night. Each event pays $1,500-to-win. For more information, please visit www.MichiganDirtCup.com .
