This has been one incredible Summer Nationals Hell Tour thus far, with some of the closest racing and points battles in the history of the event. I hope that you Midwesterners out there will be there to support the series and see the battle continue on as we approach the last leg of the 2012 Hell Tour. Will Chatham, IL native Brian Shirley stay on top of the point standings with three wins already on the tour? He only has a 24 point cushion to date over another hard charging Illinoisan, "the Moweaqua Missile" Shannon Babb, the defending Summer Nationals Hell Tour champion, who has two wins under his belt. Then, there's a third competitor sitting back, just within striking distance, Bloomington, Illinois' Jason Feger, just 100 points out of the points lead, with three wins on the tour. In 19 races, 10 different drivers have made their way to victory lane. If you have been following on DirtOnDirt.com or Twitter, you've seen the rave reviews these races have received!

"Folks....that was one of the best races I have EVER seen. 5 cars at the end fighting for the win. Insane. #HellTour #Jville Great stuff!!"

"What. A. Race. One of the best in a long time. A must-watch on DoD. #HellTour #ChecktheOberg."

"Wild night at Belle-Vegas. You're gonna want to watch the highlights of that one #HellTour"

"That late model race last night was worth the 2.5 hour drive in the Green Weenie!! Even if Kleine didn't make the mod show #HellTour"

"Folks...you HAVE to check out the @SummerNationals feature coverage on @DirtonDirt. That was insane. #HellTour #Jville"

Whether you're a local fan, a fan looking for a road trip, or new to the Summer Nationals Hell Tour, do yourself a favor and head out to Macon Speedway tonight and Quincy Raceways tomorrow to see some of the best, closest modified and late model racing out there! You won't regret it. Birkhofer is the most recent winner on the circuit, holding off a hard charging Frank Heckenast Jr. at the tail end of the event to secure his spot in victory lane last night. You won't see racing like this anywhere else. Make your plans, buy your tickets, fuel up the truck and head on out to the track!
