Coca-Cola Stars and Stripes 40 at Cleveland Speedway Postponed
HUNTSVILLE, AL —After a weeks worth of rain fell over the southeast Cleveland Speedway has had to postpone the running of the Stars & Stripes 40 set for this Saturday night until a later date due to the heavy rains that have fell and flooded the pit area as well as part of the race track itself.
“We hate to do this but we had no choice” said track owner Ronnie Wilkomm. “We have had so much water on the track that we could not get any of the equipment on the track to do any work and we did not want to give the fans and drivers a bad race track, so we have decided to postpone the race to later date on the Southern All Stars schedule.”
The next event for the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series will be on Saturday night July 28th at the Talladega Short Track with the Michael Head Jr Memorial that will be a 40 lap event paying $3,500 to win.
