Sunoco Race Fuels Butterball™ Memorial THIS Friday/Saturday at Richmond Raceway!

RICHMOND, KY (July 10, 2012)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are gearing up for what has come to be known as one of the biggest events in Central Kentucky.

The 25th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul Butterball™ Wooldridge Memorial is this Friday/Saturday, July 13-14 paying $7,500 to win/$500 to start the 50-lap Coyote 100.7 FM Late Model main event.

Some of the top regional/national drivers including defending champion Josh McGuire, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Scott James, two-time champion Mike Marlar and more will compete against the weekend warriors of Richmond Raceway Aaron Hatton, Jason Barrett, Todd Coffman, Dennis Roberson, and Jeff Watson. Can eight-time Butterball™ Memorial Champion Mike Jewell score another victory as Tim Tungate and Victor Lee both look for their third Butterball™ title? With track conditions providing some of the best racing Richmond Raceway has seen in its 45-year history, it’s sure to be anyone’s race! Who’s your pick?

As the Coyote 100.7 FM Late Models take center stage, the Open Wheel Modified division will be competing for a $1,200 to win main event. Also on the racing card for Saturday, July 14 are the Sportsman while the Road Hogs and Four Cylinders are off.

A Test & Tune is scheduled for Friday night, July 13. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with practice from 6:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. for all classes. A pit pass for the Test & Tune is $15 while the Grandstand area will be open for FREE. Several festivities are scheduled to take place Friday Night including a pig roast for those patrons with a valid pit pass, bon-fire, and a corn hole tournament. Music will be provided by Michael Shannon.

For Saturday’s main event, the pit area will open at 3:00 p.m. followed by the grandstands at 4:30 p.m. Ticket prices for this marquee event in the grandstand area are $20 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and FREE to children ages 5 and under. A pit pass will be $35 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and FREE to children ages 5 and under.

There is a $50 entry fee and a $25 transponder fee for the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models on Saturday night, July 14.

The tire rule for the 25th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul Butterball™ Wooldridge Memorial is as follows: Hoosier: LM20, LM40, 1300, and 1600; American Racer: SD44 and MD56. Open on the front. Tire samples will be taken at random and all earnings will be held until lab test has been confirmed. RACEceivers are MANDATORY!

Camping will be permitted at the track (no hook ups). RICHMOND, KY -It started twenty five years ago, currently it's become the premier dirt track event in Central Kentucky. The twenty fourth Annual Butterball™ Memorial saw a record setting crowd with the most important payout in Richmond Raceway history. This year, it gets even bigger!
