take off the brake drums and there are 4 nuts you take off, then pull out..no c-clips,and no real gear oil messes

Most will require some force to pull the bearing out of the axle housing.I have a slide hammer that will bolt onto the wheel studs.A couple whacks later the axle will slide right out.You can make something similar to do the job.Be careful about hammering on the back side of the wheel flange, they can be damaged easily.

If you dont have a slide hammer, you can take off the drum, turn it around and put it back on the axle. put in 3 bolts loosely. Use the drum as a slide hammer. Usually you can pull the axle.
