‎5th ANNUAL JASON ROBBINS MEMORIAL $4,004 TO WIN MODIFIEDS & CAJUN SPRINTS AUGUST 18TH AT JACKSON MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Byram, Ms – Jackson Motor Speedway in conjunction with JWH Equipment LLC and the friends and family of Jason Robbins present the 5th Annual Jason Robbins Memorial. “This is a very emotional event for the family of Jason Robbins every year,” comment Brian Jones of Jackson Motor Speedway. “This is one of the biggest events of the year for JMS and we have already had a ton of response from drivers that have shown interest in attending. It is our goal to pack the house out at JMS in Jason’s honor.”

“I really want to thank Joey Hayles owner of JWH Equipment LLC for stepping up and being the major sponsor of the Jason Robbins Memorial this year,” commented Don Cliburn owner of Jackson Motor Speedway. “Without JWH’s support and all the other sponsors we could not put on this caliber of an event,” continued Cliburn. There are several other sponsors that have stepped up to make the Jason Robbin’s Memorial possible at Jackson Motor Speedway and we want to recognize each of them: Excavation Specialty Co., Jimmy Smith Race Tire (American Racer), Southern Towing and Recovery, Metro Package Store, Tony Barnett Heating and A/C, Taylor Flying Services, Taylor Recovery, Roofing with Strength, HP Graphics, Hayles Towing, Decorative Centers of Byram, Hodge Sawdust and others.

Jason has always been a friend of racing. He was always one to give when he didn’t have anything to give and would help anyone that wanted to go racing. Jason was a true racer and friend to so many. Many of the people in the Mississippi racing community knew Jason Robbins well. He competed in just about every division of racing that one driver could, from late models to street stocks. But Jason found his home in open wheel modified racing where he sported the #4r for many years. Jason never went to the track alone and at any given time he would have 4, 5 or 6 guys there to help him with his car. He always was surrounded by family and friends. “Jason was my best friend. We raced together, went out to eat together, pretty much did everything together,” commented Ryan Allday. Allday carries the #4r on his modified to this day in respect and honor of his fallen friend Jason Robbins. Jason left this earth way to early in life, on February 26, 2008 and has been greatly missed by family and friends since.

Don’t miss the 5th Annual Jason Robbins Memorial Saturday night August 18, 2012 at Jackson Motor Speedway. This event will pay $4,004 to the winner and $125 to start. It will carry a $50 entry fee. Transponders will be used and can be rented at the track for $10. For this event the passing points system will be used. Each driver will draw a pill for their starting position in the heats. Passing points will be used to determine the top 18 positions for the feature. Then b main(s) will be raced to determine starting positions 19-22. The 23rd spot will go to the highest person in the Jackson Motor Speedway points and the 24th starting position will go to a “luck of the draw” driver sponsored by Phil Moore Buick GMC in Jackson.

Along with the 5th Annual Jason Robbins Memorial the Cajun Sprint Cars will be returning to Jackson Motor Speedway on August 18th. Drivers from all over the South will be on hand in their winged sprint cars flying around Jackson Motor Speedway. This event is being sponsored by the Mississippi Army National Guard, Outback Steakhouse and Budweiser.

The door banging Super Streets, ultra competitive Crate Late Models and the Pure Streets will be in action as well.
