i run 250lb 13 inch lr with a lot of spacers to get my numbers so i put a 16 200 and saw really no diff
what the diff from a shorter spring stacked up or really tall with preload from the wght of the car

If you set it back to ride height it really should weigh the same.

yeh i wanted to raise the ride hgt reason for the taller spring bur it only went up a little so i was wondering on length affects on springs

Different lengths mean no difference but weight of the spring unless one is too short that it coil binds during operation.

13 should work just fine if you run 9.5 in fronts.

Do you mean you saw no difference on the scales or the track

I am no longer in the chassis business but can possibly shed some light on this subject

a longer spring has more stored energy

here is an exagerated example of a LR situation

400# 12 inch spring compressed 2 inches has 800#'s of pressure
100# spring compressed 8 inches has 800#'s of pressure

figuring both of these to be at the same exact ride height (and they should be)

when the car rolls rolls up 1 inch the short 400# spring only has 400#'s of force But the long 100# spring in the same amount of roll would still have 700#s of "stored energy"

Are you serious....9.5 up front, when i had a 9.5 in the front on a metric we was dragging the ground on all the bumps....we went to 11" and wont go back.

9.5s with wt jacks, lol..

I figure 9.5 would be good for concrete or asphalt ?
