How could someone call a 2 day lucas oil show paying $1000 to start and only a $90,000 two day purse. If i'm not mistaken two regular $10,000 to win shows pay about $50,000 each night, so this pays less than normal. Today the usmts modifieds at deer creek speedway in spring valley mn end there 4 day show paying $25,000 to the winner and over $1500 to start for the world dirt modified finals. The total a-main purse is $120,000 and over $50,000 to non-qualifiers. When tracks have bars nicer than the one at home and facilities as nice a convention center they must have to keep alot of money for themselves !
You no where i'm talking about ! Take them off the list of anything close to a crown jewel ! There's a reason the owner has serious cash, his own series, his tv station, has to come from someone !

There are no formal crown jewels. They are in the eyes of the beholder. Events that I would consider crown jewels include:

World 100
Dream
Show-Me 100
USA Nationals
Knoxville Late Model Nationals
Topless 100

Note: I have never been to the DTWC.
