Weaver Dominates The Michael Head Jr. Memorial At Talladega Short Track
July 28, 2012 (Eastaboga, AL) – Racing action continues at the high banks of Talladega Short Track. Michael Head Jr. Memorial was the big event for hot racing action at Talladega Short Track. The Southern All Stars rolled into town to take on the Bad Boys of Talladega Short Track Super Late Model division. Tim Busha of Boaz, AL was "Quick Time" starting the pole position for the start of the featured event. Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN started this event on the second row out side. Hot side by side racing for this 40 lap event, from the fall of the green flag through the checked flag. Jason Heitt of Oxford, AL, 2nd place and Brandon Kinzer of Allen, KY, 3rd place.
Ryan King in Crate Late Model division took home the 1st place winnings, Adam Gauldin 2nd place, and Bret Holmes 3rd place.
Bubba Lackey took home the 1st place winnings for the second time for the 2012 race season in the Sportsman division, Adam Cummings 2nd place and Dustin Stewart 3rd place.
Robert George took home the 1st place winnings for his first season win at Talladega Short Track in the 92.7 FM Thunder Car division, 2nd place to Scott Magourik, Zack Shelton 3rd place.
Russell Chapman wins the 1st place position in the Farmers Insurance Street Stocks, 2nd place; Andy Davis and 3rd place goes to Ross Maye.
Joshua McBride wins the Dorsey’s Supermarket Hot Shots 1st place winnings for the feature event. Brent Gowers 2nd place and Chase McAvoy 3rd place.
Talladega Short Track, will be back in action on Saturday Night August 4th . No Open Wheel Modified' or Mini Stocks this weekend.
