I have an IMCA hobby stock Springs are LF 900 RF 1100 LR 275 RR 250 with Bilstein Shocks 1043 up front and 1044 in the rear. The car is really close, I just need it to come off better and to rotate a little quicker mid corner. What about a 3050 bilstein shock on the RF and a 3030 on the LR.

put that 3/5 bilstein on LR.

I am stuck with stock mount shocks and I have a 3030 for the rear and a 3050 for the front. The car seems to really roll over hard on the RF getting in the corner.
Thanks for the reply

Got any scale numbers?

Both of those shocks will help you come off the corner better, BUT from what I have tried if you only change the RF and LR it will really make the car unstable. Those 43/44 are linear valving and the 3030-3050 are digressive and feel a lot softer on the car. If you think its getting over too hard on the RF now it will be even worse with the 3050 on the RF.

I would either change all four shocks, or not change any of them. If you leave the shocks alone it would help to drop the RR spring rate 25lbs. That will free you up more on entry and allow the car to rotate more, then tighten the car up coming off the corner. Eric

Thanks for the reply. I have actually been really thinking about switching to QA1 shocks. What would you recommend for valving?

Personaly I would stick with the bilsteins. Just buy a few more to work with the 3030 and 3050 you have now.

I think you need to go with stiffer rate shocks up front though. Keep in mind with stock location shocks the lower a-arm has more leverage working the shock then it would on a say a stock car with the shock mounted out closer to the lower ball joint. Eric
