i have a 9" ford rear end that the rr seal keeps leaking replaced seal 2 tmes so far what is going on with this
NINE INCH the big tube i drop lr down and put fluid in rr axle tube have never had any trouble this way but changed gear and cant get it to seal can you double the seal in the tube

check your vent ,it may be plugged.

You need to use the bearing with the seal made into it and it has a o-ring around the outside alsoto seal it completely. Green Bearing Company i believe is the manufacturer of this type axle bearing.

I had same problem on stock 9". Had a bent axle. Put a Moser bearing on axle and problem solved. I had an inner seal, wheel seal and the moser bearing, still got oil out by bearing, but did not leak past moser bearing.

I have a stock 9" with the 3.25 tube(Thunderbird i think), does anybody make a inner axle tube seal for this size axle tube?

Those are all to small for the inside diameter of the axle tube even the big universal one, I tried the the universal one (2 of them) and tried to seal it in with silicone but it didn't work, replaced several outer axle seals and have had no luck. I didn't know if sumone else has run into this problem and had a solution.
