Suddenlink Presents the ADRA Dirt Late Models at the
Malta Windows Midway Speedway “JIM DUNN Memorial”The ADRA Dirt Late Models (www.adraracing.net) presented by Suddenlink (www.suddenlink.com) will be at the “Jim Dunn” Memorial on Sunday August 12th at the Malta Windows Midway Speedway (www.midwayracing.com) in Crooksville, OH for our next event. This 40 lap Super Late Model event will pay $5000 to win and is one of the most coveted titles in all of dirt racing. Jim Dunn, a school teacher by trade, was the epitome of a grassroots dirt racer and the American spirit. He won the very 1st Dirt Track World Championship in 1981 after repairing a torn up race car and starting in the consolation race to transfer into that historical A-main feature. He went on to become a national champion. Jim Dunn died in a tragic racing incident less than 2 years later. The American Dirt Racing Association is proud to be a part of this event in his honor.
The AMRA Modifieds (www.amramodified.com) will also be running along with Street Stocks, Outlaw 4’s, and Mini Wedges. The gates open at 12 noon. The Racers In Christ Ministry (www.racersinchrist.com) will conduct a trackside service at 4 PM for anyone who would like to join us in praising our Lord. Hot laps begin at 4:30 PM. There is NO ADRA DRIVER ENTRY FEE for this event. General admission is $20 for adults, seniors are $15, kids 6-12 just $5, and 5 and under are FREE!!!! If you want to get an up close look at the cars, meet the drivers, and get some autographs as the pits will be packed with stars from around the region, pit admission is just $40.
