Dale McDowell Flawless during Southern Regional Racing Series stop at 411 Motor Speedway

SEYMOUR, TN (August 10, 2012)—On a cool summer evening at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN, Dale MCDowell of Chickamauga, GA came to victory lane during the $3,000 to win Southern Regional Racing Series-sanctioned race. Rains threatened the event all day but officials were able to get the event in at its completion.
McDowell came to victory lane while driving the Team Dillon Racing, YouAreHollywood.com, Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Boats, Klotz Fuel, Utiliserve sponsored Clements powered Warrior Race Car.
McDowell jumped to the lead on the initial start of the 40-lapper with Billy Ogle and Brett Miller in hot pursuit. McDowell was challenged several times from Ogle and Ogle would battle with Brett Miller with 14 laps to go swapping the runner-up spot one time before Ogle would gain control and hold the spot.
One caution slowed the race on the first circuit as the left rear tire came off Steve Smith’s mount causing it to go under Josh Henry’s ride while Smith’s night ended as he went in on the hook.
Ogle came to his 12th runner-up finish this season during competition while driving the Custom Powered Rocket Chassis. Third was Brett Miller, fourth in the final run-down was Vic Hill and current SRRS points leader Riley Hickman was fifth.
In Qualifying, nine cars lowered Ray Cook’s track record to a new 13:092 second lap. Heat winners were David Crabtree, Dingus Griffin and Josh Putnam.
