Josh McGuire Racing Makes Preparations for Mountain Motor and Portsmouth
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire, of Grayson, Kentucky, entered the 30th edition of the 'North/South 100' on August 10-11 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the crown jewel extravaganza and 64 competitors piled into the pit area to vie for the hefty $50,000 top prize. Josh started off his weekend on Friday night by laying down the nineteenth fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session. Unfortunately, Josh was unable to transfer into the 100-lapper on Saturday evening after finishing ninth in his heat race and thirteenth in the B-Main. Next up for the #41 team will be a pair of regional events in the states of Kentucky and Ohio over the August 17-18 weekend. Josh is scheduled to sling dirt on Friday at the Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Kentucky. The United Super Dirt Car Series (USDCS) will preside over a $3,000 to win show tomorrow evening. On Saturday, the action will shift north to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for the $5,000 to win ‘Fred Dillow Memorial.’ Additional information on the double-dip can be accessed online at www.usdcs.com and www.portsraceway.com.
