Food Drive this Friday at Moler THEDRC.net night
This Friday will be our 4th Annual Racer's feeding Families Night at Moler Raceway Park. This year it is part of TheDrc.net night at the races and we couldn't be more excited. The Drc has been supportive of our efforts right from the beginning. That is an effort in the past that has brought in food to help over 200 needy families in the area. Most donations go out right around the Holidays to help these families have a brighter holiday.
How it works. You bring any canned goods or non-perishable food item to the front gate when you arrive. You will then be handed a raffle ticket(s). At intermission a board will be posted with the winning numbers. So far we have Some shirts from Goodsleeve Screen printing. Have tons of Rislone racing and Bars leak shirts from Derrick Davis Racing and some Pete Holt shirts from Amanda and Pete Holt. Also have some Mary Kay gift certificates courtesy of Wendy Grosheim from Upchurch Racing. Legendary Sprint car driver now mechanic Kevin Besecker and his wife Lauren from New Castle Indiana have donated some gas cards. Also Daryl Miller who is a writer with the Cincinnati Auto Racing Examiner is donating 4 $25 Toys R Us gift certificates. Dianna Hess (first female winner in florence speedway history) donated a package that includes one of her team shirts and a hero card. We also have gift cards towards Karting.
All this and we have yet to mention the great racing. TheDRC.net King Of Compacts will be crowned after 20 laps. Also racing our the Late Models, Modifieds and Chevettes. When the DRC gets involved though they make every feature a special event as they have added money in every class. The King of Compacts will receive $1000 plus will pay lap money and every position has bonus money added. The DRC is doing so much special stuff it is too much to list here. There will be a driver autograph session on the front stretch at intermission. Racers in Christ will also be attending. They usually bring their racing themed bounce house. So bring the whole family. I would personally like to thank Jody Shannon, Wade Logan. Matt Murrell and Shannon Marie and all the DRC members for busting their butts to make this an awesome event. Load your non-perishable food items in the car today so you don't forget. This will be the most fun you have at the race track ever!!!!
