Jimmy Mars Masters Manitowoc for Fifth Triumph of 2012; Ambitious Schedule Ahead

(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars, of Menomonie, Wisconsin picked up his fifth victory of the 2012 racing season on Friday night, August 17, as he dominated the 3rd Annual 'George Scheffler Memorial' at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway in Manitowoc, Wisconsin! Jimmy won his heat race in preliminary action, which locked him into the inside of the second row for the start of the Wisconsin Dirt Late Model Association (WDLMA) feature event. During the course of the caution-free 40-lapper, Jimmy grabbed the point on lap five from Russ Scheffler and lapped all but two competitors. He recorded the convincing $4,000 win by besting Russ Scheffler, Rick Scheffler, Brett Swedberg, and Nick Anvelink! Full results from Manitowoc can be viewed online at www.wdlma.net.

“We got a little shot of confidence the other night from our win at Manitowoc,” commented Mars this week. “It is no secret that we have been off a little lately, so we changed some stuff on our cars, did some testing, and hopefully we are a little closer to where we need to be. Everyone on the team as worked really hard and I can’t thank my sponsors enough for all of their support. We have a busy stretch of racing ahead of us and I look forward to traveling to Lawrenceburg on Saturday to get it started!”
