Tanner Kerr Racing & Winchester Speedway to celebrate life with the Greg Kerr Memorial this Saturday...

It is always with a heavy heart, when it is time to celebrate the life of someone that was respected and loved as much as Greg Kerr was, and still is. Greg, the father of Limited Late Model standout Tanner Kerr, had his life cut tragically short in an automobile accident 3 years ago. This Saturday at Winchester Speedway, family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a man who loved getting kids started and watching them succeed in his favorite past time, the sport of Auto Racing.

Quarter Midget Racing became a family affair, for the Kerr’s in 2007 when the family went racing with sons Tanner & Gunner. A third car was added in 2008 for daughter Ann Bailey, who made her debut at Hagerstown’s Quarter Midget Track that year and the legacy began. Greg, along with his wife Jill, not only supported their three children unconditionally but was also willing to lend a helping hand with whoever needed help or whatever needed done when it came to the Hagerstown Quarter Midget Association, where Greg would later proudly serve as Vice President. Greg and son Tanner always had a dream to have a Late Model. Tanner with determination struggled to keep that dream alive and this year the reality of the dream came full circle as Tanner has visited victory lane, not once but twice.

Make plans to come out to Winchester Speedway this Saturday, joining family and friends to celebrate the life of a man who just all around loved racing and the kids involved. There will be pictures on display in both the pits and the Grandstand area. Later in the evening Tanner, and the rest of the Limited Late Model drivers will take to the track for the Greg Kerr Memorial, a race that will be a starting point for bigger and better things, to honor a wonderful Husband, Father and Man.
