Lake Cumberland Speedway Rained Out for Saturday September 1
Burnside, KY- September 1, 2012- Rain showers moved over the area around 12:45 p.m. and with more rain in the forecast later on at various times throughout the day, track promoter Brandon Hardgrove has cancelled the racing activities scheduled for Lake Cumberland Speedway for Saturday September 1.
There will be no racing next weekend on Saturday September 8 as the track will closed for the World 100. Racing action will return to Lake Cumberland Speedway on Saturday September 15 with Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win, Modifieds racing for $800 to win, Super Dirt Stocks/Sportsman racing for $300 to win (8 car minimum), and Front Wheel Drives racing for $100 to win (8 car minimum).
Lake Cumberland Speedway last presented racing competition on Saturday August 25 and feature event winners that evening included Dillan White of Crofton, KY in Super Late Models, Ricky Arms of Moss, TN in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stock/Sportsman, and Scott Tomlinson of Somerset, KY in Front Wheel Drives.
Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
