Mason Covey Kicks Off Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

(SEYMOUR, INDIANA) Mason Covey, of Seymour, Indiana, announced today that his Dirt Late Model race team is about to embark on a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which will last throughout the remainder of his 2012 racing season. Next Saturday, September 15, Mason is set to debut a new pink paint scheme on his #44 MasterSbilt Corvette entry in the annual ‘Hall of Fame Classic’ at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. The one-day program at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval will pay $2,500 to the winner and will serve as the final tune-up for the prestigious ‘Jackson 100,’ which boasts a hefty $20,000 top prize.

When Mason rolls out his new pink ride next week at Brownstown, the team will start taking a percentage from T-shirt sales and donating that money towards Breast Cancer research. In addition, the team will also raffle off a hood and door signed by all of the Roush Fenway drivers, along with Richard Petty, during the ‘Jackson 100’ weekend at Brownstown on September 21-22. The raffle will also include a two-seater ride around the fairgrounds speedplant during the weekend.

Performance Films Distributors and Llumar Window Film have provided the backing to Mason Covey Racing to make this Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign possible. A special thanks also goes out to Fine Line Window Tinting, Bob Poynter GM, B&H Electric, Columbus Bowling Center, Valvoline, A Total Tan, Brock’s Plumbing, Celery Signs, MasterSbilt Race Cars, and Brad Erwin for the new body.
