Lake Cumberland Speedway Presents Full Racing Program on Saturday September 22

Burnside, KY-September 16, 2012- Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove and staff will return with racing at the 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval on Saturday September 22 as the 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval will present a full racing program for all four weekly divisions.

The Saturday September 22 racing event will feature a full program of racing competition for all four weekly divisions. The Super Late Model division will be racing 25 laps for $1,000 to win in their main event, while the Modified division will also be in competition and will be racing 20 laps for $600 to win in their division’s feature race contest. Joining the Super Late Models and Modifieds on the Saturday September 22 racing program will be the Super Dirt Stocks/Sportsman racing 15 laps for $300 to win (8 car minimum) and Front Wheel Drives will be racing 10 laps for $100 (8 car minimum). The Super Late Model and Modified divisions will time trial, while the Super Dirt Stocks/Sportsman and Front Wheel Drives will pill draw for heat race starting positions. All divisions will also have qualifying heats to set their respective divisions feature event line-up.

Activities for the Saturday September 22 racing event will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m., with a mandatory drivers meeting at 7:00 p.m. Practice is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing will begin at 8:30 p.m.. Ticket prices for the Saturday September 22 racing event in the general admission area will be $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 10, and children ages 5 and under will be free. A pit pass will be $30.

Lake Cumberland Speedway last presented racing competition on Saturday September 15 and feature event winners that evening included Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN in Super Late Models, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stock/Sportsman, and Johnnie Adams of Somerset, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

Track championship division point leaders at Lake Cumberland Speedway heading into the Saturday September 22 event include Johnny Wheeler of Campbellsville, KY in Super Late Models, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stocks/Sportsman, and Rusty Light of Nancy, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY. it really looks exciting event just wanted to know whether an individual can participate in this competition or not and if yes then how to register for this and what is the charge to be paid for this.
