Chad Stapleton Registers First Win in His New Barry Wright Super Late Model

Edinburgh, Indiana (09/17/12) – After serving as a car owner the week before for Bub McCool during the 42nd Annual World 100, Chad Stapleton returned to the driver's seat of his Stapleton Motorsports/Rightway Construction/Skeletor Core/Barry Wright/Jay D1ckens Racing Engine Super Late Model over the weekend and came away with his first feature win in the new car.

The weekend opened on Friday night at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) with a Weekly Racing Series Event. With seventeen Super Late Models entered Chad started sixth in his heat race before racing forward to a second place finish. His heat race performance locked him into the third starting spot for the feature event. Early in the feature Stapleton moved to the lead, and once out front he would lead the remainder of the feature on his way to his eighth win of the 2012 season. He was followed across the finish line by Greg Johnson, Duane Chamberlain, Dillan White, and Barry Doss. Full results from the event are available at www.MolerRacewayPark.com .

Saturday night found the team taking part in the $2,500-to-win, Hall of Fame Classic at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana). Thirty-one Super Late Models entered the event, and after qualifying eighth fastest in time trials Chad started second in the fourth heat race. A second place finish in his heat race rewarded him with the eighth starting spot for the finale. "This new car has been great right out of the box, and I can't thank everybody at Barry Wright enough for their help. Once I get more comfortable in the car, I think we can really get some big wins," commented Stapleton.
