(Macon,IL) Saturday night, September 22nd, will be an exciting night at "World's fastest 1/5 mile Dirt Track" as a close points battle is settled in two of the track's top divisions.

The lightning fast UMP Super Late Model division is often referred to as "jets in a gymnasium" at the high-banked track, and this season's action has produced one of the closest points battles to date. Second generation driver #24 Matt Taylor leads the standings by only 10 points over #27 Greg Kimmons. The Championship will be decided on Saturday, and it will be exciting to see how this one plays out.

In the UMP Sportsman division, only 68 points separate the top three drivers. #11 Rick Roedel from Shelbyville is only 30 points to the good over Argenta's Nick Macklin, who drives the #16 in Sportsman competition. Macklin is on a roll as he comes fresh off a win just a couple of weeks ago in the Illinois Street Stock Championship at Macon Speedway. Trailing closely in third is the always exciting #99 of Tim Bedinger from Taylorville.

It will be both divisions final appearance at Macon for the 2012 Season.
Also in action will be the Billingsley Towing Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, and the Pro & Amateur Hornets.

Don't miss this exciting event as the 2012 season winds down with only two races left. General Admission is only $12, with kids 11 and under free! Gates open at 5pm with racing beginning promptly at 7pm.
