What type of "traction" device do these have? If pullbar, is it biscuit or spring?

I run a springbar currently on my 2012 car.
Have also been on the Lightning biscit bar.
Both work very well.

the reese bar set up was used years ago on leaf spring cars and after a short while they would break.

They run in the same place as a lift bar would.

What kind of clamping device do you have on the front of the reese bar? We tried it back in 03 and had a terrible time keeping anything tight because of the taper in the bar.

The one I have been working with has a shock mount bolted to it and you use a solid link in place of the shock/spring combo a lift arm would have.

Thats what ours had. Only difference is i think we just tried a square piece of tubing w/ a nut welded in it and tightened the bolt down on the bar. Like i said couldnt come up with a good way to keep it tight only ran it 2-3nights. It was a new car and we went with something more convetional and ended up being sold before we tried it anymore

It's a stabilizer bar that fits into a Reese hitch for towing heavier trailers basically a spring bar.

Southwest Speed sells a bracket for the front and rear of the reese bar. They also have thier own brand of spring bars.
