Pair of Podium Finishes for Conley’s at PRP; Epic Weekend Next
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Rod Conley and his #71r team headed to the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio and the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on September 21-22 for a pair of $2,000 to win Dirt Late Model tilts. On Friday night at Moler, Rod won his heat race and was dominating the feature event until a broken liftbar relegated him to a disappointing fourteenth place effort. At PRP on Saturday evening, "Hot Rod" timed in third fastest in qualifying, ran fourth in the dash, and was running fourth in the feature until collecting mud in his wheel, which dropped him to a thirteenth place performance.
Delmas and R.J. Conley were also in the pit area at Portsmouth on Saturday for the $2,000 to win weekly showdown. Delmas set fast time during qualifying, finished fifth in the dash, and later climbed to third in the A-Main. R.J. laid down the sixth quickest lap during time trials, won the dash, and later wound up a strong runner-up behind winner Jason Montgomery after leading much of the feature. Next up for the Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams will be ‘One Epic Weekend’ at the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio from September 27-29. A $1,200 to win weekly show will kick things off tonight at Brushcreek. On Friday night, preliminary action will start for a pair of feature events on Saturday. The first A-Main on Saturday will pay $10,000 to the victor, while the second main event will pay either another $10,000 top prize or a ‘Harley Davidson V-Rod.’ Additional information on the three-day extravaganza can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.brushcreekmotorsports.com.
