View Full Version : Lower control arm bushings?

What bushing are better steel or urathane for lower control arm ?racing a imca mod and wanting to replace them but not sure the best way to go. If any one can give some thoughts sure would be thankful. Thanks for the help

Steel bushing ,it will keep the a arm from moving around and changing the front end settings .

I know imca you can not put a heim.

But you say steel will it rust if you wash your car alot ? Also what do you think about lw afco sorry to post in your post mod2 but i was thinking the same

urathane for lower control arm

A little more forgiving once you start banging wheels
wont bind up as easy wont rust or get all gaulled up with dirt

sorry yes you cant run the heims on the lowers in imca

I run steel bushings. Grease on regular basis. I have about 30 races on mine and that's about 30 car wash trips with no issues with them. I prefer the steel bushings but that's just me.

Steel bushings are fine, grease regularly.

My chassis builder told me he likes the Poly bushings over the Steel ones because they don't oblong the holes on the chassis as bad.
