I want to try Stock Car Drivers soft spring set up and think I have most of it from reading every thread on this board about 10 times and peiceing it together but cant find the front springs he talks about. I can find 5.5"x11" in 800 and up but nothing like the 630 and 680lb he talks about. Anyone know where I could get these? I have tried emailing him and no response I just want to buy a few springs and try setting the car up with what I think is right to see what it does. Thanks for any advice you can give without bashing.

Performance Bodies! If you are on IMCA tires you can go that low as long as track doesn't have a big banking and always tacky but if you run E mods is a whole different picture. I wouldn't run anything less than 800 in the RF if on E mods. I ran 1000RF and 1100LF on Emods with 2 wins in 3 races.(1,1,3) 3rd place just ran out of laps cause I was comn like a frieght train. I know Jeff came to IL for a special race and was on Emods. He had to vary from his original set up. He can talk that piece.

I am actually running a purestock type car but wanted to try it out to see I think I got most everything I need execpt the front springs. Thanks I really hate Jeff got tired of defending every post he made here but seems to be a trend on most every board I have been on.

It's all good. I will help anyone as it promotes better competition and creates less carnage with ill handling cars! There are many ways to skin the cat and it all depends on the drivers driving style, track configuration and track conditions. Start with a base line and make subtle changes from there. I don't understand all the arguing on 4M either when someone is providing some racing knowledge. Either try it or let those that want to help...HELP! I consider Jeff a very knowledgable racer and set up guy but many don't like his style. No big deal, I have the same kind of haters also...Give 2 shizts!...Good luck!

Did some quick looking; nothing in 11 inch below the 800. I think the springs in that 600-700 range are for the weight jack heights. Try the 800-900 range. That has been working for me at 2950 lbs.

Thanks Jeff I have about everything for this and may be able to try it this weekend by putting spacers in where needed. If I like it will need more springs to do just what your talking about.
