CT Promotions, Lake Cumberland Speedway Announce Contingency Awards for October 12, 13
Burnside, KY-September 30, 2012- Chris Tilley with CT Promotions and Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove are pleased to announce the following contingency awards for those drivers participating in the 8th Annual Ironman Classic/Border Wars Weekend at Lake Cumberland Speedway on Friday October 12 and Saturday October 13. This list of contingency awards will apply for both nights of the 8th Annual Ironman Classic/Border Wars Weekend.
*Fast Time Award- Top overall qualifier from Group Time Trials each night will receive $200 cash courtesy of FredWhiteRacing.com of Kingsport, TN.
*Heat One- sponsored by Revelution Chassis (Richmond, KY). Winner will receive a $50 gift certificate.
*Heat Two- sponsored by Double H Race Fabrication (Harriman, TN). Winner will receive a $25 gift certificate.
*Heat Three- sponsored by Schaeffer’s Racing Oil by Elaine White (Kingsport, TN). Winner will receive Schaeffer’s Oil product.
*Heat Four- sponsored by PPM Racing Products (Rockwood, TN). Winner will receive a gift certificate)
*B-Main- first non-transferring driver from the first B-Main each night will receive a $50 gift certificate courtesy of Wayne Bowen Racing Supply of Burgin, KY.
*A-Main- the following have posted awards for the Ironman Classic/Border Wars each night:
-Winner: a case of Schaeffer’s Racing Oil courtesy of Elaine White (Kingsport, TN)
-Hard Charger: a gift certificate courtesy of PPM Racing Products (Rockwood, TN)
-Middle Man Award: Ninth Place finisher on Friday October 12 and Tenth Place finisher on Saturday October 13 will receive a gift certificate courtesy of Double H Race Fabrication (Harriman, TN)
-Revelution Chassis: highest finishing driver each night driving a Revelution Chassis will receive a $100 gift certificate
-MasterSbilt Race Cars: highest finishing driver each night driving a MasterSbilt Race Car will receive a $100 gift certificate
The 8th Annual Ironman Classic/Border Wars Weekend takes place on Friday October 12 and Saturday October 13 at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY. The Super Late Models will race for $3,000 to win in a 40 lap A-Main event on Friday October 12 and will race for $5,000 to win in a 50 lap A-Main event on Saturday October 13. The Super Late Models will run under CT Promotions/Iron-Man Classic Rules and Procedures and the event will utilize the Speedway’s track tire rule of Hoosier LM40/1600 and American Racer 56 on the rear. Tires must punch 60 prior to the event and the front end of the car is open compound and brand. The Super Late Model entry fees will be $40.00 on Friday and $60.00 for Saturday. CT Promotions will sanction, register, run technical process and officiate the Super Late Model portion of both events.
Super Late Model A-Main Payout for Friday October 12 (40 laps/$3,000 to win): 1) $3000, 2) $1500, 3) $850, 4) $750, 5) $650, 6) $550, 7) $450, 8) $400, 9) $350, 10) $330, 11) $320, 12) $310, 13) $300, 14) $290, 15) $280, 16) $270, 17) $260, 18) $250.
Super Late Model A-Main Payout for Saturday October 13 (50 laps/$5,000 to win): 1) $5000, 2) $2500, 3) $1000, 4) $850, 5) $750, 6) $650, 7) $550, 8) $450, 9) $425, 10) $400, 11) $375, 12) $365, 13) $355, 14) $345, 15) $325, 16) $300, 17) $300, 18) $300, 19) $300, 20) $300.
Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
