Excitement is Building with the Sunoco Fall Classic just two days away!
Excitement is building and preparations are being made for this weekend’s premier event at the scenic Natural Bridge Speedway. Speedway owners Larry & Karey Ramsey and their staff are busy make sure the facility will be ready to go when the race teams start arriving Friday afternoon. Over 60 Late Models have pre-entered between the Super and Steel Block classes and the speedway is receiving additional entries daily.
“We have a great staff and everyone is working real hard this week to make sure this will be a great weekend for both the competitors and the fans” stated track owner Larry Ramsey. “We have three times as many cars pre-entered this year compared to past years and it has produced a lot of excitement. I really want to thank the drivers and fans for the support that they have showed leading up to this weekend. We have a big autograph session planned for Saturday and it will be pretty awesome to see the fans talking to and meeting the drivers. Best part is that there is no rain forecasted” added Ramsey with a laugh.
Lebanon, Pennsylvania based Bernheisel Race Components; manufacturer of the Lazer Chassis has donated four $50 gift certificates and will present the first two non-qualifiers in both the Super Late Model and Steel Block Late Model divisions with a certificate. Saturday morning, fans & competitors staying at the track will awake to the wonderful smell of pancakes as the youth from the Collierstown Presbyterian Church, will host a pancake breakfast on speedway grounds. Pancakes, sausage and more will be served, starting at 7:00am. You’ll be able to purchase a good hot breakfast until 10:00am., so if you’re staying at the track or in the area please plan on attending. All breakfast proceeds will benefit the church youth fund.
The speedway is nestled in Virginia’s beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Natural Bridge and is located just minutes from Interstate 81. The GPS address for the fans and competitors is 168 North Dry Well Road,
Natural Bridge, VA 24578. Self contained camping (sorry, no hook-ups) is available on the grounds, so come and stay for the weekend.
