Josh McGuire Claims Couple of Podium Finishes at Brushcreek; Fall 50 Next

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team trekked to the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio from September 27-29 for the track's annual 'One Epic Weekend.' The three-day extravaganza in southern Ohio kicked off on Thursday night with a $1,200 to win tune-up event. Josh McGuire set a New Track Record during the qualifying session and later took the win in his heat race. After rolling off from the pole position in the A-Main, Josh stayed near the front of the field throughout the race and came home in the runner-up spot behind only winner Doug Drown.

On Friday evening, Josh ran second in his heat race to earn the inside third row starting spot in the first of two $10,000 to win feature events on Saturday. The Grayson, Kentucky hotshoe was then able to pick off two competitors during the first 50-lap ADRA main event en route to a strong third place effort behind only winner Jackie Boggs and runner-up Dustin Linville. When the entire field was inverted for the second $10,000 to win A-Main on Saturday, Josh retired early from the 50-lapper and wound up fifteenth in the final rundown. Full results from the 'One Epic Weekend' can be viewed online at www.brushcreekmotorsports.com.

Josh and his #41 team have opted to take the upcoming October 5-6 weekend off from racing action, but will quickly be back in competition on Saturday, October 13. The venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky will play host to the unsanctioned ‘Fall 50,’ which boasts a $5,000 top prize. Josh finished an impressive runner-up in last year’s version of the ‘Fall 50’ behind only victor Scott James.
