I am gathering information to use in a presentation that will be given during the IMIS Safety and Technical Conference at Indy this year. Please reference the IMIS banner link on this site and look under the IMIS Events tab for more info on the conference.
The subject matter for this presentation is driver safety. Specifically the danger that exists when carbon fiber drive-shafts are not allowed in the rules of a class or worse yet when no other alternative to magnetic steel shafts are permitted.
All opinions are welcome, but the main focus of this thread is to gather information, pictures and documented occurrences of driver injuries and car damage that has occurred while using shafts other than carbon fiber.
In realizing this may not be information someone would be comfortable sharing on this open forum, I would be glad to give you a private e-mail address to share your story.
