Best all around set of headers (non-stepped) for a 602 crate? Running a 4 barrel carb. Which tubing size is better? Is there a difference between a schoenfeld 1185 and the schoenfeld 1185cm?

What size track? and where are you looking for more power?
the cm is for a raised ex port and is not what you want on a 602 >>>>>>a 602 has a stock port location and does not use the cm suffix
the questions above pertain to primary tube size
basic header 101-------top end power big tube<<<vs>>>low end power little tube
before i start a debate---Yes there is a ton more to headers than that but start simple and build on that

Thank you. These are the kind of generalizations that will help me learn. I'm not after specifics. It's a 3/8 mile track. What are the generalizations about tube length?

a 3/8 mile track is usually in the small "stop and go" category
for that we recommend small tube and long collector--------------
however........... if this is a dirt track application and the track tends to go slick-----then an increase in tube size can add drivability to your program

Schonfield makes a specifically designed header for crate motors. It's a long tube header with a 12in collector. What I run on mine. Just call and talk to them.
