looking to change to a manual transmission next year
richmond 2 speed trans says it uses straight cut gears and dog rings for clutchless shift - so does that mean you dont need a clutch
if i was to get the 2 speed trans what else would i need to make a reliable and fast set up

sounds like a good idea but did you have any issues running around the pits
so i need a clutch - bell housing - flex plate - hydraulic throwout bearing - pedal and shifter linkages ... anything else

Bearing for crank. Master cylinder. You will need everything you would need for a manual set up. Its just like a regular trans but ya can shift without clutch.

ok you mention a saginaw - any advatages there over the richmond - i know they are cheaper - what all does it take to get one set up - i am hearing a lot of people say they break off the ears - i take it thats common
