Official Information for the 1st Annual Halloween 50 at 201 Speedway on October 27th
Talked to Jarrod Breeding owner of 201 Speedway today, and the following information is for October 27th $3,000 to win event for the Late Models and other divisions:
1st) Gates open at 2:30PM
2nd) Drivers Meeting is set for 5:30
3rd) Late Models will get 2 laps of qualifying and Open Wheel Modifieds will get 1 lap all other divisions (Bomber, 4-Cylinder Modifieds, and 4-Cylinder Stock) will draw
for their starting positions
4th) Late Models will utilize the Delaware restart rules (if track conditions allows), which means the leader get to start in the front alone, the second place car picks either the inside or outside starting position and third will lineup beside the second place car and the rest of the field will fall into place double file throughout the field, but if a caution flies in the last 5 laps of the 50 lap feature the field will line up single file
5th) Admission price has been set at $15 for the Grandstands and $30 for the Pits (No extra entry fee for the Late Model event)
6th) Many people on the East KY Racing Message Board and on Facebook has asked about a outlaw race or topless race for the other divisions, Jarrod said he did not want to do this type of race at this time because while many of the drivers my have the ability to compete in this type of event there will be a few that would not, and the only fair way would be to have another divisions for these "outlaw" type car, and there is several cars expected to attend the October 27th event, this suggestion will be looked at and possibly scheduled for 2013.
7th) "Judgement calls (on cautions) will be used instead of the stop on the track rule that had been used in past weeks
8th) A chalk line will be put down in turn 4 and possibly a cone to show drivers the restart line to help control the false starts better.
9) Finally the payout for the Late Model Halloween 50:
Will start 20 cars in the feature
