THE 2012 RACE SEASON TAKES THE CHECKERED FLAG
Season Championships at Paducah International Raceway are Saturday, October 27th
Saturday October 27th Paducah International Raceway will host the “Trunk or Treat” 2012 Season Championships featuring a 25 lap $1500 to win feature for the Super Late Models, $750 to win 20 lap Pro (Crate) Late Models, 20 lap $1000 to win Modifieds, $500 to win 20 lap Championship Street Stock feature, $150 to win 4-Cylinder Warriors and the High School Warriors, will be taking it to the dirt one final time in 2012. A Huge Fireworks Display and Lots of Fan Giveaways! There will also be a Costume Contest for all ages during Intermission. A special Halloween “Trick or Treat” in the Pits for the kids beginning at 3:00 PM! An Exciting, Action Packed race night you won’t want to miss!
P.I.R. would like to invite everyone to join us in a "THUMBS UP IN LANE’S MEMORY" in which all our fans, drivers, and officials will take pictures for Lane's family to show what he means to us. We will also be passing the helmets for the family of LANE. We will be putting together a "care package" of PIR merchandise including pictures, shirts, etc. and if anyone would like to add race shirts, memorabilia etc. it would be greatly appreciated! Again LANE YOU ARE OUR HERO! — a night to honor Lane, OCT. 27TH @ PIR!
With a 25 lap $1,500 to win Feature for the Super Late Models, Benton, Kentucky’s Tim Brown is about to realize his dream of his first PIR Track Championship. Keeping it in the family, his son, Cameron Brown, will seal his bid of his first Track Championship in the $750 to win 20 lap Pro (Crate) Late Model Feature sponsored by Koebel Construction. Multiple Track Champion, JR Mason is poised to become the 2012 Modified Track Champion with $1,000 on the line in the 20 lap Feature race. Former Street Stock Champion Mike Watson secured his top spot early in the season heading into the 20 lap Championship race sponsored by Cunningham Machine, Decatur Used Cars, Jason’s Collision Center, and Tru Blu Services, LLC. The closest points race of the season comes down to a four point difference between first place 2010 4-Cylinder Warrior Champion Kyle Clark and second-place Mat Hartman. This battle will be decided in a 15 lap Special sponsored by James Smith Heating and Cooling, Battery Outlet and Tires, Paducah Warehouse Furniture, and Charlie Barker’s Used Cars. In the High School Warrior division, 16-points separate first place AJ Keeling and second place Daniel Edwards as they both vie for their first Track Championship.
