I was hoping for some help on this. I'm currently running a metric car with metric spindles and lowers and want to make the switch to the impala spindle. questions are: what years have 5x5? Do I have to switch to an impala caliper? Or is there an alternative caliper/rotor?

Any help is appreciated!

Mid 80's station wagon and Taxi's had 5x5, 12"rotors, standard models had 5x4-3/4 w/11" rotors. There is a early 90's model caprice or somethin that was 5x5 w/11" rotors IIRC. Jet racin sells brackets to use Metric calipers on the big spindles, we made our own as they are kinda proud of them. LF works out easily with stock upper pertch, RF needs the upper pertched relocated or a shorter control arm to get enough negative camber. Tie rods and balljoints all fit fine. Bumpsteer will be very very bad with out some serious center link and tierod length adjustments.

Thanks for the reply! That was very helpful! Think you can share your bump steer secrets? If you would prefer to pm me that would work too.

Your help is very much appreciated!

Olds 98s Buick electras and caddys had the 5x5 stuff too.
