I was wondering if anybody could tell me what cars came out with a 10in torque converter for a powerglide......

i own a tranny shop in NC and i have never come across a 10inch converter in a powerglide. so i went into our book 11inch with cooling shroud no cooler lines is the smallest they offer.came in a corvair. 11.75 is the smallest that came out stock in cars with cooler lines. i am sure that you can get after market at a 10inch.hope info helps.

If you actually are wanting to run a powerglide (as opposed to to just asking a general question), you might come out cheaper getting a trans input shaft with the Turbo converter splines. You can probably get a good used one for around $75. You can then run any converter that came on a Turbo 350 or 400 trans.

I'm betting he's asking because his rules say "stock size torque converter" or something general, and he's looking to justify running a 10" converter if tech complains.

Go to TCI. They have the legal 10" size ones for a powerglide for around $250.
